 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Man fatally shot near cemetery at Ga-Dikgale


Police in Sebayeng have opened a case of murder and launched a manhunt for suspects following the fatal shooting of a 42-year-old man at Mmadiga Village, Ga-Dikgale, in the early hours of Sunday, 2 November 2025, at about 00:30.  


According to reports, police were alerted to a shooting incident and immediately proceeded to the scene. Upon arrival, no one was found. While still there, officers received another call indicating that the victim had been taken to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from gunshot wounds.  


It is alleged that the deceased was walking with a companion near the cemetery when a vehicle stopped a few metres ahead of them. The occupants reportedly shouted insults, and when ignored, one of them fired a shot, fatally wounding the man before fleeing the scene.  


The motive for the shooting is still unknown. Police have launched a manhunt for the suspects and are appealing to anyone with information to contact the investigating officer, Constable Maropeng Malahlela, on 082 711 0667.
