A TEXAS COUPLE HAVE HAD THEIR CHARGES UPGRADED TO CAPITAL MURDER AFTER A 3-YEAR-OLD VICTIM SUCCUMBS TO HIS INJURIES. AUTHORITIES HAVE ALSO UNCOVERED A SERIES OF TEXTS, GIVING A WINDOW INTO THE SAD LIFE THIS POOR CHILD WAS FORCED TO ENDURE. (PHOTO).

"Let’s hope Dawson isn’t ever left alone with you, he probably wouldn’t survive."

A Texas couple have had  their charges upgraded to capital murder after a 3-year-old victim  succumbs to his injuries. Authorities have also uncovered a series of texts, giving a window into the sad life this poor child was forced to endure.

After fighting for his life for almost 2 months, 3-year-old Dawson Zamora passed away on December 7th.

This case began on October 14th, when 30-year-old Christopher Alexander (pictured last) brought an unresponsive Dawson to Medical City McKinney in McKinney, Texas. Dawson was suffering from serious injuries that Christopher could not explain. He simply told staff he had "heard a thud" before finding Dawson in that condition.

Hospital staff immediately notified law enforcement due to the extent of Dawson's injuries. According to court filings, Dawson had severe head trauma with bleeding on the brain. He also had bruising across his entire body in various stages of healing and anal trauma.

Christopher would retain an attorney while at the hospital and refuse to speak to detectives.

Dawson's mother, 30-year-old Chelsea Berg (pictured second), told detectives that Dawson was fine when she left him with her live-in boyfriend Christopher.

Both Christopher and Chelsea were arrested back in October and charged with injury to a child.

During their investigation, authorities would uncover a series of texts that show Berg was well aware of the @buse in the months leading up to the October incident.

The texts clearly show that although she did not like what was happening, she continued to leave Dawson alone with Christopher.

The first line of this story is a text from Berg. Berg also wrote in one text, "You're reckless. He had progressively been getting more and more hurt with you !!! Leave me alone!! I'm not blind. You're DANGEROUS."

Another text from September read, "100000% serious. You bruise him, hurt him, and cause damage every single time you are alone with him.”

Another September text read, "Chris, no. I overlooked the bruising on Dawson, knowing it could have happened at school, but now this???… I can not believe you. You really don’t care that you can get my kids taken away from me due to YOUR negligence. ABSOLUTELY NOT.”

Chelsea Berg was arrested on the new capital m****r charge on Monday, December 8th.

Christopher Alexander has been in jail since the initial charges in October but is also facing a capital m****r charge.

Dawson's biological father, Dahrian Zamora, shared the heartbreaking news of Dawson's passing on social media. He shared that Dawson had hung on to life until Mr. Zamora's birthday.

Dawson's father was trying to get custody of his son when this happened. Our thoughts are with everyone that loved Dawson, may he rest in peace.
