 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. POLICE ARRESTED RAPE, ARMED ROBBERY/CULPABLE HOMICIDE SUSPECTS

On 16th December, 2025, at about 1030hrs, the Bununu Divisional Headquarters received an information via telephone call from a good Samaritan. The report stated that on the same date at about 1600hrs, one Sirajo Abdulhamid, 'm', aged 32 years, of Badara village, Dull ward, Tafawa Balewa LGA, was travelling on a Boxer motorcycle (without a registration plate) to Burga village. He was conveying two females: Khadija Abdulhamid, 'f', aged 25 years, and Asiya Sirajo, 'f', aged 20 years (wife of the deceased). They were attacked by unidentified armed robbers who shot Mr. Abdulhamid in the head and made off with the motorcycle.

Upon receipt of the anonymous report, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, psc(+), mni dispatched a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), SP Jamilu Kabir, in conjunction with Danga Security and special hunters to the scene. They swiftly swung into action and evacuated the victim to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, for medical attention. He was later confirmed dead while receiving treatment. Subsequently, an autopsy was conducted, and the corpse was released to relatives for burial according to religious rites.

Preliminary investigations led to the arrest of the following suspects:

(1)Isah Shuaibu, 'm', aged 18 years.
(2)Abdulsalam Shuaibu, 'm', aged 20 years.

An identification parade was conducted, during which the wife of the deceased, Asiya Sirajo, identified the suspects as the assailants who attacked them and snatched the motorcycle. Investigation is ongoing.

Investigation is underway, after which the suspect will be profiled and charged to court upon its completion.
