 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  DIRECTORS' GUILD OF NIGERIA HONOURS YUL EDOCHIE'S 20YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY


The Directors Guild of Nigeria(DGN), has confirmed its prestigious award of honour on Nollywood actor Yul Edochie over his 20 active years in the movie industry and contributing immensely to the growth of Nollywood.


The award will be presented to him today December 21st 2025 at the DGN "Dinner and Awards night 2025", scheduled for 6pm.


This awards goes to Yul also, for being one of the greatest actors and directors in Nollywood presently.


The actor took to his Facebook page today to announce this, and thanked the guild for the recognition.
