 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  GBOKO WOMAN STRANDED IN LAGOS AS FRIEND GOES SILENT AFTER ARRIVAL 



A young woman from Gboko, Benue State, has been left stranded in Lagos after travelling to visit a friend who allegedly stopped responding to her calls shortly after her arrival.


The lady reportedly arrived at Flight Park, Lagos, only to discover that her host had become unreachable, leaving her without accommodation or immediate support.


Eyewitnesses said she has remained at the park in a distressed state, crying and confused about her next step. The transport fare back to Benue State is estimated at ₦38,000, which she is unable to afford.


The development has drawn public concern, highlighting the dangers of travel arrangements built solely on trust. Concerned persons are calling for assistance to help the stranded woman return home safely.
