 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  Nancy Isime Commissions Playground for Ikorodu Pupils to Mark Her 34th Birthday

 


Nollywood actress Nancy Isime marked her 34th birthday by commissioning a new playground for the pupils of Methodist Primary School, Ikorodu. 


As part of the celebration, she hosted an end-of-year party for the students and staff, highlighting her passion for children’s development, outdoor play, and creativity, describing the gesture as deeply personal, noting that playgrounds and libraries shaped her own childhood.


It has been a tradition widely known by everyone since she became rich and popular in the movie industry, to always celebrate her birthday with children.


Reflecting on her tradition of celebrating with children, Nancy Isime explained that playgrounds and libraries hold a special place in her heart. 


"As a child, reading and playing were my absolute favourite things to do, and you’d definitely find me in the play area, swinging and sliding my young stress away," she said with excitement.


She wrote on her Instagram that commissioning libraries or play areas for children yearly, are usually the highlights of her birthdays for her.


Emphasizing on the importance of physical activity for children, she stated;

"I truly believe that it’s essential for children to have less screen time and more time outside, playing and creating".


After officially opening the area "in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost," the actress was even seen joining the children on the dance floor.
