 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. PERRY BAMONTE, LONGTIME GUITARIST AND KEYBOARDIST FOR THE CURE, HAS PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 65 FOLLOWING A SHORT ILLNESS AT HOME OVER CHRISTMAS.(PHOTO).

 Perry Bamonte, longtime guitarist and keyboardist for The Cure, has passed away at the age of 65 following a short illness at home over Christmas.


Born in London on September 3, 1960, he joined the band's circle in 1984 as a roadie and later became Robert Smith's guitar technician before becoming a full member in 1990. He contributed to albums including Wish (1992), Wild Mood Swings (1996), Bloodflowers (2000), and The Cure (2004), performing in hundreds of shows during his 14-year tenure until 2005.


He rejoined The Cure in 2022 for the Shows of a Lost World tour, playing dozens of concerts up to their final show in London on November 1, 2024. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the band in 2019.The band remembered him as "quiet, intense, intuitive, constant and hugely creative," affectionately known as "Teddy," and a warm-hearted vital part of their story. Thoughts are with his family and loved ones.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
