Marilyn Manson's sexual assault case by former assistant reinstated under new California law A previously dismissed sexual assault case against Marilyn Manson, filed by former assistant Ashley Walters, was revived Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court under a new California law extending the statute of limitations for certain sexual abuse claims. Judge Steve Cochran granted Walters’ motion for reconsideration, vacating his December 2025 ruling that had dismissed the case and allowing it to proceed toward trial. The original suit, first filed in 2021, accused Manson, whose legal name is Brian Warner, of sexual harassment, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and wrongful termination based on her time working for him in 2010–2011.  SENATE PRESIDENT AKPABIO, LAWMAKERS LAUGH AS HE ANNOUNCES SENATOR NATASHA’S BIRTHDAY

There was mild drama at the Senate plenary as Senate President Godswill Akpabio and several lawmakers burst into laughter while he announced the birthday of his colleague, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

The incident occurred during Tuesday’s session when Senator Akpabio formally notified the chamber that December 9 marked his birthday as well as that of Senator Natasha. In line with the Senate tradition, the President of the Senate is required to announce lawmakers’ birthdays so colleagues can offer congratulatory messages.

However, the atmosphere changed the moment he mentioned Senator Natasha’s name. Akpabio and several senators erupted in laughter, drawing the attention of observers given the well-known political tension between both lawmakers.

Senator Akpabio and Senator Natasha have been at loggerheads for months over political and legal disputes, with matters currently before the court. The unexpected laughter, therefore, added a dramatic twist to an otherwise formal announcement.

Despite the tension, the Senate proceeded with its routine acknowledgment of the birthdays, though the brief moment of amusement underscored the strained relationship between the two senators.
