In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. SHOW FIXING: ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT REPLIES KOLABOY . (PHOTO).

 Enugu State Government replies Kolaboy

In an interview with DreamFm Enugu, the honorable commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Barr Ugochi Madueke, expressed her disappointment over the action of Enugu born Rapper, Kolaboy, in calling out the government for fixing a show a day before his own show and at the same venue.

During the interview, the commissioner explained that Kolaboy didn't lie about the state government shifting the date of it's state sponsored show known as "Roadblock" just to accommodate the presence of Phyno who is a bigger artist in the music industry,  she admitted that it was a hard decision for the state government but the decision had to stand because there was no other way out  and that it has been the dream of the people of Enugu to see Phyno back on the stage in Enugu after almost 10years.

Nevertheless, the commissioner mentioned that she also tried to avoid using Okpara square for Roadblock which was the same venue Kolaboy had already picked for his show, but all efforts to get an alternative venue was abortive because Rangers football club were scheduled to have a football match at the Stadium on the new date.

The Commissioner mentioned that she and her team had a 2hours meeting with Kolaboy and his team to discuss how to settle the issue and see how the two show can be held successfully on same venue with a day interval, according to her, they resolved to promote the two show like one show that has different date.

She revealed that the state government gave Kolaboy the venue for his show for free and also provided security for free, she also noted that even Phyno promised to promote Kolaboy's show on stage so as to make it look like a continuation of "Roadblock" but Kolaboy refused to tell the public about the effort of the state government to support him, hence she stated that Kolaboy was economical with the truth and she wasn't happy about that.
