 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.  TRAGEDY ON ABINSI ROAD, 18 SEATER BUS DRIVER DIES IN A FATAL CRASH, POLICE LAUNCH IDENTIFICATION SEARCH


16th December, 2025 


A fatal road accident has claimed the life of a Toyota 18-seater bus driver along the Wannune–Makurdi road. The crash occurred at Abinsi, where the driver reportedly died on the spot.


The vehicle involved bears registration number XE 481 MKD. Authorities say the deceased had no means of identification at the time of the incident, making it difficult to notify his family.


The police are appealing to members of the public with any useful information to assist in identifying the victim. Anyone with details is urged to contact the Officer-in-Charge, Abinsi Police Outstation, on 08038689030, or visit the police station in Abinsi.


Police say timely information could help reunite the deceased with his family and ensure proper arrangements are made.
