 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. UCHE NWORAH, OTHERS LAMENT THE DECLINE OF IGBA-BOI AS A CORE IGBO TRADITIONAL PRACTICE THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF IGBO LAND.(PHOTO).


 Uche Nworah, others lament the decline of Igba-boi as a core Igbo traditional practice that contribute to the development of igbo land.


Speaking at the 2025 Umunri Colloquium at the Civic Centre in Enugwu-Ukwu, the Chairman Umunri Colloquium Commission traditional minister of information, Enugu-Ukwu, Chief Uche Nworah (Ezeudo) together with some notable attendees, decried the decline of apprenticeship also known as Igba-boi in Igbo traditional.


Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba, the guest speaker at the Event, presented a paper titled “Cultural Diplomacy and Community Development,” using Enugwu-Ukwu and Umunri as case studies, and advocated cultural promotion, economic empowerment of youths and women, and the proper packaging of culture for global appeal.


The Former Managing Director of ABS, Uche Nworah with some Notable attendees, including Christopher Ndubisi, Chief Chinonso Okoye,, and Professor Oguno Onyi, lamented the decline of Igba-Boi, a traditional practice that contributed to the development of Igboland, and called for its revival, stressing the importance of empowering youths through education and skill acquisition to strengthen the community.
