 AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. South Sudanese authorities estimate the number of displaced in Jonglei at more than 180,000, the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA said last week.  Billionaire businessman, Deji Adeleke, addresses paternity claims against his son, Davido


Dr Deji Adeleke, the billionaire father of singer, David Adeleke aka Davido, has come out to address the paternity claims made against his son, Davido.


A young lady based in Ibadan, Ayo Labinjo, has insisted that she had sexual relations with Davido when he visited Ibadan some years ago and that she got pregnant and had a baby girl and that the singer has since refused to take responsibility for the little girl named Anu.


Recently, the issue came up online after Anu via her IG page appealed to the singer to carry out a fresh DNA test just so she can be sure he is indeed not her father. Davido in his reaction, said that five DNA tests have been carried out and that all the tests came out negative.


Today, Deji Adedeji held a press conference in which he addressed the paternity claims.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
