 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville.  FCTA STAFF BEGIN INDEFINITE STRIKE


Activities at the the Secretariats of the Federal Capital Territory Administration and the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA have been grounded following the strike embarked upon by  the Joint Union Action Committee over demands for improved working conditions.


As early as Monday morning, the main gates of the secretariats of the Federal Capital Territory Administration and the Federal Capital Development Authority  were under lock, preventing staff and visitors from gaining access to the complex for their daily routines. 


Many workers remained at home in strict compliance with the industrial action in order to press home their demands, for a better working condition in the FCTA.


The JUAC Chairperson urges members to maintain the status quo until further directives. 


Long queues of vehicles were seen parked on the road shoulders which are indications of no retreat no surrender by the leadership of the JUAC.
