 OWNERS CRY OUT AS THIEVES STEAL TOYOTA COROLLA IN MAKURDI  28th January, 2026      The owners of a Toyota Corolla have raised the alarm over the theft of their vehicle in Makurdi, Benue State. The car, a blue Toyota Corolla (Model X), 2003 model, with registration number MKD 188 DW, was reportedly stolen on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at about 8:30 p.m. at Food Domain, along Old Otukpo Road. According to the owners, the incident was discovered shortly after the vehicle was parked at the location. They have since appealed to members of the public to assist with information that could lead to the recovery of the car. Anyone who sights the vehicle or has useful information is urged to report to the nearest police station or contact Prof. Saawua Apeoon Tor-Anyiin on 08071767797, Terfa on 08166415920, or Tor-Anyiin Vivian on 07030404596. They also called on residents to remain vigilant and support security agencies in efforts to track down the stolen vehicle.

 Governor Soludo Celebrates Isuofia’s Guinness World Record Star, Pledges Suppport


Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, has thrown his weight behind the Guinness World Record holder, Miss Mary Chinonso Thaddeus, pledging monetary support to help her scale and commercialise her craft.


The Governor made the pledge on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the Palace of His Royal Highness, Igwe C.A.O. Muoghalu, Isu II of Isuofia, during the monarch’s 4th Ofala Festival, drawing loud applause from the traditional institution, youth groups, and community stakeholders in attendance.


Mary Chinonso Thaddeus, an indigene of Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area, etched her name into global history after Guinness World Records officially confirmed her as the world record holder for the Most Hair Braided in 24 Hours by an Individual.


During her record-setting attempt in March 2024, she braided an astonishing 387 heads within 24 hours, more than doubling the previous global record of 167.


Governor Soludo, while addressing the gathering, praised Mary Chinonso Thaddeus for her historic achievement, describing it as a powerful testament to the creativity, resilience, and enterprise of Anambra youths. He noted that her Guinness World Record feat has not only brought global recognition to Isuofia and Anambra State but has also reinforced the value of skills acquisition as a pathway to economic empowerment.


He stated that his administration remains committed to nurturing talents and supporting young people with viable skills to thrive, stressing that the support for Ada Isuofia aligns squarely with the State Government’s One Youth, Two Skills programme. According to him, the programme is designed to equip young Anambra people with practical skills and provide the necessary backing to help them grow into sustainable entrepreneurs and employers of labour.


The Governor announced a monetary support package for the Guinness World Record holder, assuring that the State Government will continue to encourage youths who distinguish themselves through innovation, hard work, and excellence.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
