 AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. South Sudanese authorities estimate the number of displaced in Jonglei at more than 180,000, the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA said last week.  Harry Styles announces new album, Kiss All the Time 

Harry Styles has revealed the release date for his upcoming album.

Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally is set to arrive on March 6.

In an Instagram post announcing the project, Styles appears performing in a darkened field, with a disco ball hanging above him, hinting at the album’s disco-inspired theme.

The 31-year-old singer previously released Harry’s House in 2022 and shared a video from his 2023 Love on Tour performances last December. Styles began his career in 2010 as a member of the boy band One Direction on The X Factor, alongside Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and the late Liam Payne.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
