Kaduna Govt Seals Illegal Colleges Of Health Sciences

The Kaduna State Government has commenced the sealing of illegal Colleges of Health Sciences operating across the state as part of efforts to ensure quality healthcare training and protect public health.

The action is being carried out by the Kaduna State Committee on Private Health Establishments to enforce regulatory guidelines and prevent unaccredited institutions from operating.

Authorities say the move is aimed at stopping such institutions from misleading the public and producing unqualified health workers, which could pose serious risks to healthcare delivery.

Speaking on the development, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Hajiya Umma K. Ahmed, advised prospective students and parents to verify the accreditation status of health institutions before seeking admission.

She stressed that enrolling in approved and accredited institutions is critical to safeguarding students’ futures and maintaining professional standards in the health sector.

The commissioner also commended Governor Senator Uba Sani for his leadership and commitment to strengthening the state’s health sector through reforms focused on quality, safety, and accountability.

The state government reaffirmed its determination to continue monitoring private health training institutions to ensure full compliance with established regulations.
