The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Renowned Nigerian billionaire, entrepreneur, and socialite Obinna Iyiegbu, also known as Obi Cubana has been honoured with new prestigious chieftaincy title “Ife Igbo Ji Ka Mba” in Igbo land.


The title was conferred on the business mogul on Saturday, 3 January 2026, during a colourful traditional ceremony attended by royal fathers, community leaders, and dignitaries from across the region. The event celebrated Igbo culture, heritage, and leadership.


Sharing moments from the ceremony on his official Instagram page, Obi Cubana expressed deep gratitude to the traditional rulers and the entire community for the honour bestowed upon him. He described the recognition as humbling and symbolic, noting that it comes with a greater sense of responsibility to serve and uplift his people.
