 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED; TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED 


The Bauchi State Police Command announces the recovery of a stolen Honda Civic vehicle, army-green in colour, intercepted by a patrol team attached to B' Divisional Police Headquarters on January 23, 2026, at approximately 0145hrs, along the Bauchi-Jos road. Muazu Abdulkarim (32), of Emir's Drive, Bauchi, and his girlfriend, Rukayya Muhammad (22), of Bakaro, Bauchi, were apprehended while in possession of the vehicle.


2.Preliminary investigations confirm the vehicle was stolen on December 13, 2025, from Old Jos Road, Unguwar Kaya Zaria, Kaduna State. The rightful owner is a medical doctor at FMC Birnin Kudu, Jigawa State.


3.On the instruction of CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu psc (+), mni, the rightful owner has been contacted and retrieved the vehicle after verifying ownership.


4.The suspects are under investigation and will be prosecuted.
