 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean.  23-YEAR-OLD KILLED IN BENUE OVER PALM FRUIT DISPUTE, SUSPECT FLEES

A 23-year-old man has died following a violent altercation with his neighbour over palm fruit harvesting in Benue State.


The incident occurred on February 16 at about 2:20 p.m. in Pass Brother Community, Guma Local Government Area.


According to sources, the deceased, identified as David Oraade, allegedly confronted a 30-year-old neighbour, Felix Cephas, accusing him of harvesting palm fruits from trees said to belong to his family.


The disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical fight during which the suspect allegedly inflicted serious injuries on the victim.


David was rushed to the Benue State University Teaching Hospital for medical treatment but was later pronounced dead.


His remains have been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.


Police sources say the suspect fled the scene shortly after the incident and is currently at large.


Authorities have launched a manhunt, while investigations into the circumstances surrounding the fatal clash are ongoing.
