Catholic Priests Not Like ‘Fake Bishops’, Atiku Blasts Presidency’s Attack On Onaiyekan Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress ADC, Atiku Abubakar, has condemned the Presidency’s attack on the Catholic Church and John Cardinal Onaiyekan, accusing the President Bola Tinubu administration of growing intolerant of dissent and uncomfortable truths. In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu on Sunday, Atiku said the Presidency chose intimidation and political attacks instead of reflecting on the substance of the cleric’s message. Catholic bishops had recently had an engagement with the president, where the latter defended his record and the independence of the electoral umpire. NORWAY IS A TRUE POWERHOUSE IN THE WINTER OLYMPICS, CONSISTENTLY TOPPING THE MEDAL TABLES WITH ITS INCREDIBLE SUCCESS IN SPORTS LIKE CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING, BIATHLON, NORDIC COMBINED, SKI JUMPING, AND ALPINE SKIING.(PHOTO).

Norway is a true powerhouse in the Winter Olympics, consistently topping the medal tables with its incredible success in sports like cross-country skiing, biathlon, Nordic combined, ski jumping, and alpine skiing.

With hundreds of medals throughout history and often leading the current Games in golds and overall counts, this small nation of about 5.5 million people has built an extraordinary winter sports culture. Deep national passion, top-notch facilities, strong youth programs, and ideal snowy landscapes help produce world-class athletes in these endurance and snow-based events year after year.

However, Norway has not found the same level of success in ice hockey. The men's national team has participated in the Olympics multiple times but has never earned a medal, with finishes typically in the middle or lower ranks. Unlike neighbors Sweden and Finland, where hockey enjoys huge popularity and produces many elite players, ice hockey in Norway takes a back seat to individual Nordic sports. Fewer young people participate in organized hockey, resources focus more on skiing disciplines, and there's less of a professional pipeline compared to other hockey-strong nations. This leaves hockey as one area where Norway hasn't dominated on the international stage.
