 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  The South East lost a lot of money because of the lockdown we experienced, crippling our economy is not the best way to get Biafra- Major of Afrika( member Igbo Integration Movement)

The pioneer of African Epistemology, and member of the Igbo Integration Movement, Known as Majorofafrika on social media has strongly criticized the Lockdown(sit at home) pattern embraced by ndi igbo.


He noted this while reacting to a question about IPOB on Gbam special edition, he stated that the lock down instituted by IPOB affected the economy of the South East so much that so many businesses were crippled including his own and caused the ndi Igbo to lose millions of Naira. 

 

He argued that while so many might be sympathizing with the activities of IPOB, that crippling the economy cannot get ndi Igbo Biafra, that getting Biafra can only come when there is a referendum organized by the federal government in Abuja.


He further asked ndi igbo to seek more of inclusive government rather than seeking for a separate nation.
