A GEORGIA TEACHER HAD HIS LIFE ENDED BY HIS OWN STUDENTS WHEN A SILLY TEENAGE PRANK TURNED DEADLY. NOW, SEVERAL TEENS ARE FACING CHARGES.(PHOTO)

A Georgia teacher had his life ended by his own students when a silly teenage prank turned deadly. Now, several teens are facing charges.

40-year-old Jason Hughes lost his life on the evening of Friday, March 6th, outside of his Gainesville, Georgia home.

This tragic event unfolded when a group of students from North Hall High School decided to play a prank on their well-liked math teacher, Jason Hughes.

According to the Hall County Sheriff's Department, the teens were in the process of covering his yard with toilet paper when Hughes exited his home to confront them.

When Jason Hughes suddenly appeared, the startled teens ran to two separate vehicles and began to flee the scene.

This is when disaster struck.

As Jason Hughes was walking towards the fleeing vehicles, he tripped and fell into the path of a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Jayden Wallace and was run over.

The teens immediately stopped and exited their vehicles to attempt to help their injured teacher until EMS arrived.

Sadly, Jason Hughes passed away from his injuries at the hospital.

Jayden Wallace is being charged with felony first degree vehicular homicide and reckless driving. He is also facing misdemeanor charges of littering and criminal trespassing. Four other North Hall High students are also facing misdemeanor charges of littering and criminal trespassing. Those students are Ariana Cruz, Ana Luque, Elijah Tate Owens, and Aiden Hucks.

Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Jason Hughes as well as the students involved and the North Hall High community as a whole.
