  BANDITS STRIKE CHURCH IN KWARA: WORSHIPPERS ABDUCTED IN SHOCKING ATTACK Chaos erupted in Omugo community, Ifelodun LGA, Kwara State, as armed bandits stormed an ECWA Church during Sunday morning service, abducting worshippers and sending the congregation fleeing in terror. Sources report that at least seven people were kidnapped before security forces could intervene. In a swift and coordinated response, joint security operatives, including forest guards and local vigilantes, rescued three victims, though several remain in captivity. Bolanle Olukoju, Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, condemned the brazen attack, describing it as “cowardly and unacceptable,” and praised the rapid action of security agencies.  Hawaii issues evacuations on Oahu as flooding raises risk of dam failure


Heavy rains have caused severe flooding on Hawaii’s Oahu island, leading officials to issue evacuation orders and warn of a potential dam collapse, marking the second major rain event in a week.

Authorities directed residents in Haleiwa and Waialua, including areas near the Wahiawa Dam, to evacuate immediately, citing the risk that the dam “may collapse or breach at any time.” Oahu Emergency Management warned of “life-threatening flooding and catastrophic amounts of fast-moving water in downstream areas.” Governor Josh Green confirmed that the Hawaii National Guard has been activated and additional resources are being deployed to assist with evacuations, shelter openings, and public safety amid the ongoing severe storm.
