 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

 Jerry O'Connell says wife Rebecca Romijn, daughters 'became physical' with him after he criticized Kamala Harris' loss


Jerry O’Connell revealed that a political comment he made during the 2024 presidential election sparked tension at home with his wife Rebecca Romijn and their twin daughters. 


Speaking on Bill Maher’s Club Random podcast, the Stand by Me actor admitted he worried about sharing the story publicly, joking, “If I say this, will I stay married?” 


He recalled watching the election returns late at night and expressing frustration over Kamala Harris’ late entry into the race after Joe Biden dropped out. 


His offhand remark about poor planning was misinterpreted by his family, who reacted physically out of anger.


O’Connell explained that living in California with three politically passionate family members means even lighthearted jokes can trigger strong reactions. 


Maher responded by saying he always voices his true opinions, even if they upset others, arguing that suppressing one’s views is unhealthy. 


O’Connell, who supported Harris during her campaign, attended events in Georgia and later posted a humorous reaction to her loss on social media.


The actor has previously spoken positively about Biden, praising his wisdom at the 2023 White House Correspondents’ Dinner alongside Romijn. 


At the time, both emphasized that age brought experience and insight, calling themselves fans of his leadership. 


Despite the family disagreement, O’Connell’s comments on Maher’s podcast highlighted the challenges of navigating political discussions within households where opinions and emotions run strong.
