Anne Schedeen, ALF star who played Kate Tanner, dies at 77 Anne Schedeen, best known for playing Kate Tanner on the NBC sitcom ALF, has died at the age of 77. Her family said she “passed peacefully” in a statement shared Sunday, adding that she died surrounded by the legacy of her life and work. A cause of death was not disclosed. In their tribute, her family described Schedeen as someone with “creative energy,” sharp humor, and a deep love for her family, storytelling, and rescue dogs. They remembered her as a strong presence in their lives, saying her memory would live on through her artwork, handmade creations, and “joie de vivre.” They also asked loved ones to honor her by supporting Habitat for Humanity in lieu of sending flowers. Her longtime agent confirmed her death and said she meant “the world” to both her family and her professional circle.  Angel Reese responds to Michelle Obama comments after 'intentional' podcast appearance


Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese recently joined Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson on their podcast IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson. 


Reese, known for her outspoken personality and physical style of play, was praised by the former First Lady for the way she carries herself both on and off the court. 


Obama commended Reese’s attitude and resilience, noting that she manages challenges with grace and positivity.


Reese responded by emphasizing her determination to stay focused on her goals despite outside criticism. 


She explained that she is intentional about the spaces she shares publicly, highlighting how meaningful it was to have an authentic conversation with Obama and Robinson. 


Reese later tweeted that the experience felt refreshing and genuine, underscoring her gratitude for connecting with people who lead with care.


The 23‑year‑old forward was traded to Atlanta after a standout season with Chicago, where she averaged 14.7 points and 12.6 rebounds. 


A two‑time All‑Star, Reese is expected to benefit from the WNBA’s new collective bargaining agreement, with her salary projected to rise significantly. 


During the podcast, she also discussed relationships and independence, remarking that it takes a strong partner to embrace a woman who is financially self‑sufficient. 


Reese is currently dating Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr., and she continues to build her own platform through her podcast Unapologetically Angel.
