 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  Cause of Death Revealed for Former Home Alone House Owner After His Body Was Found in Nature Reserve


Authorities have confirmed the cause of d@th of John Abendshien, a former owner of the famous house featured in Home Alone.


The 79-year-old was found on the evening of April 22 at a nature preserve near Lake Forest, Illinois. Local officials say a preliminary autopsy determined he d!ed from asphyxia in a manner described as self-inflicted.


According to the coroner’s office, the incident is being treated as isolated, with no danger posed to the public. However, police in Lake Forest Police Department are still reviewing the circumstances surrounding the case.


Abendshien was known for previously owning the well-known property in Winnetka, Illinois that gained global attention after being featured in the holiday classic. 


He even documented his experience of living in the home during the film’s production years ago.


His passing comes shortly after legal troubles. Days before he was found, authorities had carried out a search at his residence following multiple cyber tips linked to alleged possession of illegal materials involving minors. 


Investigators reported that electronic devices were seized during that operation.


He was later charged with several felony counts related to those allegations and released on bail under specific conditions on April 17, less than a week before his body was discovered.
