 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. The planes have brought in technical ​equipment as well as dozens of physicians, engineers, lab experts and construction work...

 Kaduna Easter Church Attack: 31 Hostages Rescued, 5 Dead In Swift Military Operation


Troops of the Nigerian Army have successfully thwarted a terrorist attack in Ariko Village, located in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, rescuing 31 civilians abducted during an Easter church service.


The incident took place at an ECWA Church during Easter celebrations, triggering a distress call that prompted an immediate military response. 


Acting quickly and with support from local residents, the troops engaged the attackers in a gun battle, forcing them to abandon the hostages.


Among those rescued was one injured victim, now receiving medical care.

Sadly, five individuals lost their lives in the attack, and their bodies were recovered at the scene.


Reports also indicated that the fleeing attackers may have suffered heavy casualties, as blood trails were seen along their escape paths.


In the aftermath, the Nigerian Army has intensified efforts to pursue the attackers, deploying additional personnel to strengthen security, prevent further incidents, and locate any remaining captives.


The Army reiterated its commitment to safeguarding lives and protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity, vowing to continue coordinated operations with other security agencies and local communities.


Residents have also been encouraged to remain vigilant and support security efforts by sharing timely and reliable information, emphasizing that community cooperation is key to lasting peace.
