  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  SUPREME COURT DIMISES PDP's APPEAL CHALLENGING MERIT OF THE VERDICT 


The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal of the Peoples Democratic Party Challenging the  decisions of the trial and intermediate courts for lacking  merit.


In a split verdict of  3 to 2, the apex court in its  lead judgment read by Justice John Ada held that the disobedience of the Federal High Court order that restrained the party from conducting the Ibadan convention in November, 2025 was fatal to the appeal.

The Supreme court held that the appeal was held, was an abuse of court processes.

In the light of this, the apex court dismissed the PDP appeal.

In the minority verdict,

Justice Simon Tsammani upheld the appeal of the PDP.

The split verdict was on the matter filed by the former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido before the federal high court, Abuja.

The trial court ordered the PDP to pause its convention, Sell chairmanship form to Sule Lamido and thereafter conduct its convention.

The apex court frowned at the flagrant disobedience of court orders and forum shopping by the PDP

Disobedience to court order is a disobedience to the entire Judiciary.
