Terry Crews’ Wife Rebecca Reveals Parkinson’s Battle 11 Years After Diagnosis: ‘Seeing Improvement’

Terry Crews and his wife, Rebecca King-Crews, have opened up about a deeply personal health journey that the family has been quietly navigating for more than a decade.

During Monday’s episode of the Today show, Rebecca, 60, revealed that she has been living with Parkinson’s since receiving her diagnosis in 2015, though the first warning signs appeared years earlier.

Looking back, she said it all began around 2012 with a slight numbness in her left foot. Not long after, her trainer noticed something unusual in the way she walked, particularly that one of her arms was no longer swinging naturally.

Then came the moment that truly raised alarm.

Rebecca recalled waking up one morning to find her hand shaking, a tremor that made it clear something more serious might be happening.

At first, she said a doctor suggested it was anxiety and reassured her that she would be fine. Still, trusting her instincts, she pushed for further referrals and continued searching for answers.

It took three years before she finally received a diagnosis.

Now, after years of living with the condition, Rebecca says she is seeing encouraging progress thanks to a non-invasive treatment known as focused ultrasound.

Speaking with visible optimism, she shared that she has been able to write with her right hand again for the first time in about three years.

For Rebecca, going public with her journey is not about sympathy.

Instead, she said her goal is to create awareness and help others see the hope that modern treatment options may offer.

She explained that she believes this kind of medical advancement represents a new frontier, and she wanted to use her story to help make it more visible and potentially more accessible to others living with Parkinson’s.

Terry, 57, became emotional as he reflected on watching his wife go through years of tremors, sleepless nights, and balance issues.

He admitted it has been incredibly difficult to witness, especially over such a long period.

One moment, however, stood out for him.

Seeing Rebecca write her name again after years left him overwhelmed with emotion.

In his words, she is nothing short of a superhero.

The couple’s bond has remained one of the strongest parts of their journey. Terry and Rebecca first met as students at Western Michigan University in the late 1980s. Their college romance led to marriage in 1989, and together they have built a family with four children, alongside Rebecca’s daughter from a previous relationship, whom Terry later adopted.

Even after more than three decades together, Terry has said their marriage is stronger than ever.
