 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24. The planes have brought in technical ​equipment as well as dozens of physicians, engineers, lab experts and construction work...

The management and staff of Gbagada General Hospital has welcomed its new Medical Director, Dr. Saliu Olugbenga Oseni, who was recently appointed to take over the leadership and management of the hospital following the retirement of the immediate past Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Babafemi Olusegun.


Before his appointment, Dr. Oseni served at General Hospital Isolo, where he earned recognition for his administrative competence, professionalism, and commitment to quality healthcare services.


His deployment to General Hospital, Gbagada forms part of ongoing efforts by the Lagos State Government to strengthen healthcare delivery and sustain excellence across public health institutions in the State.


Welcoming the new Medical Director to the Hospital, the Management expressed confidence in his capacity to consolidate the efforts of Dr. Babafemi Olusegun, whose tenure was widely acknowledged for dedication, professionalism, and impactful service delivery.


They noted that the new MD is well-positioned to build on the achievements of his predecessor while advancing the hospital’s vision of delivering efficient, accessible, and patient-centred healthcare services.


The staff and stakeholders, therefore, pledged their support and cooperation to the new MD, assuring members of the public of the hospital’s continued commitment to excellence in healthcare delivery under the new administration.
