 TW- A Connecticut officer arrived on the scene to find a suspect fatally attacking his unconscious father with a baseball bat. The officer fired nearly 20 rounds, with most or all striking the son, before the son finally stopped the assault.  This sad incident took place in Meridian, Connecticut, on Sunday- July 19th.  On that date, officers from the Meridian Police Department responded to a local residence after receiving multiple calls from panicked and screaming neighbors and bystanders. The callers described a "severe domestic incident" taking place with an "armed aggressor" at approximately 10:00 a.m.  The first officer on the scene was Anthony Offiaeli. He witnessed 38-year-old Robert Lee Jenkins lll carrying out an absolutely savage attack on a man lying prone and unconscious on the ground.  Hannah Harper won ‘American Idol’ and fans have a lot to say


Season 24 of American Idol concluded with Hannah Harper crowned as the winner on May 11, after months of competition and weekly performances. 


The finale featured Harper, Keyla Richardson, and Jordan McCullough battling for the top spot, with judges Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie offering feedback and global stars delivering memorable performances. 


While Keyla finished in third place, the final showdown between Hannah and Jordan ended with Hannah taking home the championship title.


Fans quickly celebrated the result online, praising Hannah’s talent and authenticity. Many highlighted her skills as both a songwriter and singer, calling her victory well deserved. 


Others noted that all three finalists were exceptional, describing the season as one filled with standout vocalists. 


Hannah first captured attention early in the competition with her original song “String Cheese,” which impressed the judges and helped propel her through the rounds to the finale.


Following her win, Hannah shared an emotional message on Instagram, reflecting on the journey and thanking those who supported her.
