 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24.  ‎NBA Awka Branch Pledges Support to Anambra Attorney General During Courtesy Visit

‎The Executive Members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Awka Branch, have paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Anambra State in his chambers at the Ministry of Justice, Awka.

‎Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the NBA Awka Branch, Mr. Nnamdi Raphael Anagor, pledged the association’s full support and commitment to the leadership of the Honourable Attorney General in advancing the development of the state and strengthening the justice system.

‎In her vote of thanks, the Assistant Secretary of the NBA Awka Branch, Barrister Chinenye Obunadike Nweke, expressed appreciation to the Honourable Attorney General for granting the delegation audience despite his demanding schedule.

‎She also thanked God for His grace upon the Attorney General in his dedication to the legal profession and his contributions to both the Bar and the people of Anambra State.

‎Responding, the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Nweke, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude for the visit. He emphasized the vital role of the legal profession in the governance process and encouraged members of the association to feel free to reach out to him whenever necessary.

‎The Commissioner further assured the NBA Awka Branch of sustained collaboration and synergy aimed at enhancing the effective dispensation of justice across the state. He described the meeting as a privilege and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the association for the advancement of the justice sector in Anambra State.
