 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24.  NIGERIA & UK PARTNER ON YOUTH SKILLS TRAINING-SCRIPTOVER


The Federal Government is partnering the United Kingdom to prepare Nigerian youths for global job opportunities, focusing on technical and vocational education and training, digital skills, and industry-led apprenticeships under President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda. 


Minister of education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, made this known during a bilateral meeting with UK’s Minister of state for skills, Baroness Smith, on the sidelines of the 2026 education world forum in London.


Dr. Alausa says, the government is repositioning TVET as a key driver of employment and productivity by aligning education reforms with labour market needs in priority sectors including clean energy, healthcare, engineering, digital technology, and artificial intelligence, as Nigeria is implementing a modern skills framework built on quality assurance, stronger industry participation, globally recognised accreditation, and structured apprenticeship pathways to meet current and future workforce demands.


The partnership will involve Federal Technical Colleges, the national board for technical education, and other agencies to support joint curriculum development, staff exchanges, accreditation alignment, and skills matching with both countries agreeing on plans for uk skills institutions to visit nigeria to co-develop programmes.


The engagement also prioritises raising the status of TVET through industry recognition and clearer career progression pathways, drawing from reforms under skills england. 


Dr. Alausa, as a member of the global partnership for education board, urges continued UK support for the GPE 2026–2030 replenishment campaign, which Nigeria will co-host with italy during the UN general assembly in september 2026, 


Baroness Smith commends Nigeria’s reforms and pledges to advocate sustained UK support.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
