A 38-YEAR-OLD HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER HAS BEEN ARRESTED FOR GROOMING AND TRAVELING TO MEET A MINOR. (PHOTO)

 Farina, Illinois- Shane Lother, a 38-year-old high school teacher has been arrested for grooming and traveling to meet a minor. He remains at the Marion County Jail in Salem, Illinois. The main district that released the statement below is located in Kinmundy and the school Lother was employed at is located in Farina.  The South Central Community Unit School District 401 has released that they have learned an employee from the South Central high School in Farina, Illinois, was arrested today, May 8th. The employee was arrested for having alleged inappropriate relations with a student. Kinmundy police were assisted by the Salem Police while arresting the employee.  The school district shared that they learned about the allegations on February 26th of this year, and immediately upon learning of the allegations, an investigation was started with authorities as well as DCFS becoming involved. ROAD ACCIDENT CLAIMS 16 LIVES IN KOGI STATE . (PHOTO).


 Road accident claims 16 lives in Kogi State 


Sixteen people have been confirmed dead following a fatal  road mishap along Lokoja-Okene highway in Kogi State.


Confirming the fatal  accident in Lokoja, the Kogi State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps Lawal Fagge in a telephone conversation explains that the accident occured at Aku village near Osara, along Lokoja-Okene highway at about 9. 20 am this Friday morning.


It involved a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number BUU 17 ZD, travelling from Jos Plateu State to Lagos.with 22 passengers comprising of 21 male and one female in the ill fated bus.

The crash which was blamed on fatigue, saw the vehicle on top speed veered off the road, plunging under the bridge, killing 16 occupants including 15 male and the only female in the bus


Officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Kogi State Command  immediately responded to a distress call, rescuing 6 persons with various degrees of injuries.


The Command says, the injured have been rushed to a nearby health centers in Osara and Specialist Hospital Lokoja for proper medical examination while the dead bodies have been deposited at Ankuri  mortuary, Lokoja 


The command urges road users to be safety conscious and obey traffic rules and regulations while on transit.
