 U.S equipment, experts arrive at Kenya Ebola facility despite court order, protests Around 20 flights carrying medical equipment and specialist staff have landed at a base in Kenya where the U.S. ​government is continuing to build an Ebola quarantine facility despite protests and Kenyan court orders blocking it, according to flight data and officials. At least two ‌people have been killed in protests in the central Kenyan town of Nanyuki, home to the Kenyan air force base where the U.S. military is building a 50-bed unit for Americans who might be exposed to the virus, which has infected hundreds in Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. A Kenyan court first ordered work on the Ebola facility to be suspended on May ​28, yet U.S. military flights into Nanyuki continued in the days that followed, according to data from flight-tracking service Flightradar24.  Senator Danjuma Laah Reportedly In Talks Over NDC Governorship Ticket After Losing APC Senatorial Primary


Former senator Danjuma Laah is reportedly engaged in high-level consultations regarding the governorship ticket of the NDC in Kaduna State, according to sources familiar with the discussions.


The development follows Laah’s participation in the APC senatorial primary election in Southern Kaduna, where he lost to incumbent senator Sunday Marshall Katung.


Sources also indicate that the ongoing talks involve several aggrieved National and State Assembly aspirants who contested under the platform of the ruling APC during previous party primaries.


As of the time of filing this report, neither Senator Laah nor officials of the APC have issued any formal statement concerning the reported consultations.
