JOHN MAHAMA CARRIED OUT AN AERIAL ASSESSMENT OF FLOOD-HIT COMMUNITIES ACROSS ACCRA AFTER TORRENTIAL RAINFALL CAUSED WIDESPREAD FLOODING IN THE CAPITAL.(VIDEO/PHOTO).

John Mahama carried out an aerial assessment of flood-hit communities across Accra after torrential rainfall caused widespread flooding in the capital.


On Monday, June 29, the Ghanaian president flew over the affected areas alongside government officials and members of the Anti-Flood Task Force to evaluate the extent of the destruction. During the inspection, they identified major engineering and environmental issues contributing to the flooding.
