 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

A MEMPHIS MOTHER IS FACING SERIOUS CHARGES AFTER SHOOTING A MAN THAT SHE FOUND UNDER HER DAUGHTER'S BED.(PHOTO).

 A Memphis mother is facing serious charges after shooting a man that she found under her daughter's bed.


Officers with the Memphis Police Department were called to the 3000 block of Travis Road at approximately 1:45 a.m. Thursday, July 16th.


As officers arrived on the scene, they discovered an adult male laying in front of the home. A closer inspection would confirm the man was deceased due to a gunshot wound to the back of the head.


The investigation would lead officers straight to 36-year-old Kendra Scott. 


Kendra would admit to officers that she had shot the man, but only because she had discovered him hiding under her juvenile daughter's bed.


According to Kendra, when she discovered the man he was muttering, "I did what I had to do."


However, as the investigation continued, officers would interview the juvenile daughter. The young girl admitted to police that she had invited the man into her room. She went on to tell officers that her mother had previously threatened to shoot any boy she brought into her room.


After taking the daughter's statements, officers arrested Kendra Scott at the scene. She is facing a first-degree m***** charge and a charge of employing a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony.


Kendra Scott is set to be arraigned on Friday, July 17th.


The man has not been identified at this time.
