Anambra Head of Service Offers Thanksgiving for Family, Health, and Public Service

By MaryAnn Chukwuma

The Anambra State Head of Civil Service, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, Esq., mni, has offered heartfelt thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness, healing, protection, and guidance over her life, family, and public service.

The thanksgiving Mass, held on July 5 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Chaplaincy, Ngozika Estate, Awka, attracted family members, friends, colleagues, and distinguished guests from across the State.

Expressing gratitude, Iwouno said the celebration was not about occupying the office of Head of Civil Service but about God's abundant blessings throughout her life's journey.

She thanked God for healing her brother and sister from kidney stones, restoring her own health, and preserving her family through countless challenges.

The Head of Service also appreciated God for the opportunity to attend the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), describing the experience as one of life's greatest blessings.

She further thanked God for her appointment as Head of Civil Service and prayed for continued divine favour, wisdom, protection, and strength in serving Anambra State diligently.

Iwouno prayed that God would bless everyone who joined her celebration, grant their heart's desires, and encouraged them to remain steadfast in faith and trust in Him.

Earlier in his homily, Reverend Father Constantine Okoli, reflecting on Matthew 11:28–30, urged Christians to surrender their burdens to Christ, whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light.

The thanksgiving was attended by top government officials, including the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, commissioners, permanent secretaries, directors, NIPSS members, and other dignitaries.
