 How Bauchi Accountant-General Transferred State Funds to Private Company - Witness   Trial of the Accountant-General of Bauchi State, Sirajo Muhammed Jaja continued on Monday, September 21, 2026 at the Federal High Court in Abuja presided over by Justice Obiora Egwuatu with a witness revealing how Jaja diverted state funds to a private company. Jaja is facing prosecution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC ,  alongside Aliyu Abubakar, Abubakar Muhammed Hafiz, Ari Manga and Muhammed Aminu Bose, for alleged corruption. The defendants are being prosecuted by the EFCC on an amended five-count charge of money laundering, diversion of public funds, and criminal misappropriation of funds to the tune of N1,635,270,350.9 (One Billion, Six Hundred and Thirty-five Million, Two Hundred and Seventy Thousand, Three Hundred and Fifty Naira, Nine Kobo).  Antonio Banderas says 2017 heart attack changed his outlook on life and pushed him to make major changes


Antonio Banderas says his 2017 heart attack changed the way he views life and influenced major decisions he made afterward.


The actor recalled experiencing chest pains at his home in Surrey, England, nearly a decade ago. His longtime partner Nicole Kimpel gave him aspirin before emergency responders took him to hospital, where doctors performed surgery and placed three stents in his arteries.


Following the health scare, Banderas said he quit smoking and moved back to his hometown of Málaga, Spain.


He told PEOPLE that the experience made him reconsider how he spent his time and helped him focus on things that mattered most to him.


Since returning to Málaga, Banderas has invested in local projects, including the Teatro del Soho CaixaBank, where he produces plays and musicals, as well as several restaurants in the city.


His interest in food and culture also influenced his decision to appear in the upcoming biopic *Tony*, where he plays a chef connected to the early life of Anthony Bourdain, portrayed by Dominic Sessa.


Banderas said he was drawn to the project because he viewed Bourdain’s work as being about more than food, describing it as a reflection on life and human experiences.
