 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

 Seyi Vibez Deletes Controversial Posts About Hilda Baci Following Defamation Lawsuit Threat


Nigerian singer Seyi Vibez has swiftly taken down highly controversial social media posts targeting celebrity chef Hilda Baci. The move comes immediately after Baci’s legal representatives issued a stern warning and threatened to file a defamation lawsuit over what they described as malicious and false claims.


The legal intervention was initiated by the prominent law firm Olaniwun Ajayi LP. In a formal cease-and-desist letter dated August 15, 2026, the lawyers accused the Afrobeats artist of publishing damaging and unfounded statements about their client on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).


The Controversial Claims and Social Media Backlash


The dispute stems from two specific posts shared by Seyi Vibez on August 14, 2026. In one of the updates, the singer made disparaging remarks regarding Baci's physical appearance, linking her body enhancement surgery to the finances of music artists. In another highly sensitive post, he claimed that consuming food prepared by the chef almost caused him physical harm, going as far as alleging spiritual manipulation.


Before their removal, the posts gained massive traction online. According to Baci's legal team, the updates quickly accumulated over 4.3 million views, 45,000 likes, 7,100 reposts, and thousands of comments, sparking widespread public debate and triggering targeted cyberbullying against the culinary star.


Demands for Apology and Threat of Legal Action


The celebrity chef's lawyers emphasized that the viral allegations led to significant reputational damage, distress, and a wave of online harassment directed at Baci. Consequently, they demanded that the singer not only permanently delete the offending posts but also issue a formal, public retraction and apology across all his active social media platforms.


Additionally, Seyi Vibez was urged to instruct his fanbase to halt any further abuse directed at the chef. The legal team gave the musician a strict three-day deadline to sign a written undertaking promising not to repeat or circulate similar defamatory statements. While the singer has already deleted the posts, it remains to be seen if he will comply with the remaining legal demands, including the public apology.
