 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

 ‘He Was Never Considered’: Kaduna Govt Dismisses Disclaimer Over SSA Appointment


The Kaduna State Government has clarified that a recent disclaimer issued by one John Markus Ayuba regarding an alleged appointment by the state government was misplaced.


In a statement issued by the government, it explained that the individual who made the Facebook post is John Markus Ayuba of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, while the person appointed as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Policy is Dr. John Ayuba of Kachia Local Government Area.


According to the government, Dr. John Ayuba holds a PhD in Sociology and is the individual appointed to the position by Governor Uba Sani.


The government stressed that John Markus Ayuba was neither considered nor appointed to any position by Governor Uba Sani.


It consequently urged members of the public to disregard the disclaimer, describing it as a case of mistaken identity.


“The individual making the post is John Markus Ayuba of Zangon Kataf LGA, while the person appointed Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Policy is Dr. John Ayuba of Kachia LGA, who holds a PhD in Sociology,” the government said.


The Kaduna State Government advised the public to take note of the clarification and rely on official information regarding appointments made by the administration.
