 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

 JAMB Releases Underage UTME Results; Sets 320 Cut-off For Exceptional Candidates


The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results of all underage candidates for viewing but says the release does not automatically qualify them for admission.


In a statement, JAMB’s Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocols, Fabian Benjamin, an underage candidate is any applicant who will be below 16 years of age as of September 30, 2026.


The Board says the results were released to enable candidates, parents and guardians to know their performance, stressing that the scores cannot be used for admission except by candidates who meet the conditions for exceptional admission.


JAMB adds that such candidates must demonstrate exceptional academic ability and maturity and pass several stages of assessment and verification.


The requirements include a minimum UTME score of 320 and at least 80 per cent in relevant Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination subjects, where applicable.
