 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

                    According to PUNCH Metro,there was panic on wednesday in Lakowe area of Ajah,Lagos State,after some suspected hoodlums reportedly attacked motorists plying the Lekki Epe Expressway and mechanics in a shop in the community.Sources learnt that the attackers who were ared with guns and cutlasses,dispossessed their victims of their valuables and injured many people in the attack which occured around 2pm.Some members of the gang were identified as Saheed,aka Ejo,who is identified to be the son of a traditional ruler {Baale}of a community in the area.Others are Sima,Taofeek,Alaba and one Tunde aka Oka.It was learnt that residents had been indoors while an annual cultural rites,aka Oro,was being observed by the community on the fateful day.It was gathered that the bandits,led by Oka,cashed in on the curfew to attack the mechanics and motorists found outside.A mechanic identified as Segun Borokini said that the mayhem usaualy...

                 Today friday,the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria {PCN},sealed 148 medicine shops in Cross River for unauthorised sale of drugs.Mr Stephen Esumobi,Deputy Director and Head of Enforcement,PCN,Abuja,made this known during a press conference in Calabar.He said the action was taken as part of measures to ensure that only quality drugs are sold to members of the public.According to him,the patent medicine shops were also closed for operating without the supervision of a pharmacist,poor storage conditions of drugs and low education of medicine vendors,among others.He said that the enforcement was carried out after series of reports of the activities of unregistered premises,which engage in the illegal sale of medicines in the state.He added that some of the registered premises were selling beyond the approved list laid down by PCN.PCN is charged with the responsibility of regulating and controlling the education,training and practice...
