A  policeman was allegedly shot by his wife, who is also a member of the police force, during a domestic dispute at their home in Old Harbour, St Catherine, this morning. The Police High Command has launched an investigation into the shooting. It is reported that they were at their home in Colbeck Heights in Red Ground when an argument developed around 4:45 a.m. The dispute was reportedly about infidelity. The policewoman reportedly shot her police sergeant husband in the chest The injured 53-year-old was subsequently taken to the Spanish Town Hospital where he is admitted.  His 50-year-old wife is now under investigation. - Rasbert Turner 

Death leaves a heartache no words can heal.  And today, I express my deepest condolences to David and Chioma, over the death of their beloved son.  Ifeanyi was undoubtedly loved by his parents and family. Hushpuppi is sentenced to 11 years in the United States. He will spend nine years in prison because he had spent two years already in the US prison. Once released he will be deported to Nigeria.   Born Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai in June 2022 and was extradited to USA over internet fraud and money laundering. After 2 years in custody whiles facing trail, he was convicted awaiting final sentence on November 3, 2022. Judge Otis Wright is expected to give the final sentence on November 3, 2022. According Nigerian journalist Dr Kemi Olunloyo who has been keenly following the trail of Hushpuppi, the judge will give him 11-years sentence. One more photo below. 

Musician TakeOff of the Rap Gang Migos reportedly dead. He was shot and killed early this morning in 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻.  Several sources are reporting he was shot over a dice game gone wrong. 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗼𝗳𝗳 died at only 28𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.  Takeoff, Quavo, and Cardi B's husband Offset make up the group Migos and are blood relatives. It was intially reported that Quavo was also shot but that has been refuted. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.   Watch video and more photos below.

NDLEA declares Lagos drug baron wanted, arrests kingpin behind cocaine shipments ...Seals barons 7 mansions in Lagos, Ibadan; blocks N217million in bank account The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has declared wanted Lagos socialite and owner of Adekaz Hotels, Alhaji Ademola Afolabi Kazeem (a.k.a Alhaji Abdallah Kazeem Muhammed) over offences bordering on exportation and trafficking of illicit drugs as well as money laundering. The decision to declare the suspect wanted followed his failure to honour NDLEA invitations and an order granted the Agency by a Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday 17th October 2022. LASCOPA DISMISSES VIRAL SOCIAL MEDIA REPORT ON BAN ON SALE OF PLASTIC BOTTLED DRINKS EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) has dismissed a viral social media report alleging that the State Government is set to ban the sale of plastic bottled drinks exposed to sunlight. A statement signed by the General Manager of LASCOPA, Afolabi Solebo Esq., said that the Agency's plan is to engage sellers and buyers of plastic bottled drinks through advocacy and sensitisation programmes on the dangers inherent in the exposure of plastic bottled drinks to sunlight. Solebo noted that the Lagos State Government has no intention of banning the sale of plastic bottled drinks as stated in the social media report being circulated, saying “The Government is keen on ensuring that both consumers and traders are educated and enlightened on the health hazard of consuming plastic bottled drinks that have been exposed to sunlight”. POLICE ARRESTS ONE FOR ABDUCTION   ⁃ Rescue and reunite victims with their families. Operatives of Surulere Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one Austin Kanu ‘m’ aged 51 for abducting four teenage boys.  The victims, one Toheeb ‘m’ aged 16, Isaac ‘m’ aged 16, Chukwuma ‘m’ aged 16 and Idowu ‘m’ aged 18 (surnames withheld) were on October 9, 2022 at about 2010hrs discovered in an isolated place within the National Stadium, Surulere by the Chief Security Officer of the stadium who was on routine patrol and then alerted the police.  Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect lured the victims from Ogba and Agege to Surulere.  Their parents when contacted confirmed that the boys had been missing since the early hours of October 29, 2022.  Suspect will be arraigned at the conclusion of ongoing investigation.  The Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Alabi, fdc enjoins Nigerians to be vigilant and report any suspicious happening ...
