 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

Man arrested for carelessly leaving his loaded dane gun that was picked up by an 13 year old and mistakenly used to k!ll 3 year old in Ogun Men of Ogun State Police Command on Friday, March 10, arrested 45-year-old Semiu Adegesin, pictured above, for his contributory negligence that led to the d€ath of a 3-year-old girl, Esther Samuel.    A statement by the spokesperson of the police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the suspect was arrested following a report lodged at Imasayi Divisional Headquarters that a 13-year-old boy identified as Ope Babalola shot and k!lled the deceased with a dane gun at Kukudi Village, Imasayi.    ‘’Upon the information, the DPO Imasayi division, SP Arowojeun Michael, quickly led his detectives to the scene where the deceased was met in the pool of her own blood.  Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect Semiu Adegesin loaded his dane gun, and carelessly kept it in an open place at the backyard of the house where children ...

EFCC Presents Second Witness, Closes Case Against Two Impostors Arrested While Executing Fake Court Order In Lagos The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Friday, March 10, 2023, presented its second prosecution witness, Olufemi Olukinni, and also closed its case against the duo of Ugwu Chijioke and Ibrahim Adekunle before Justice O.O. Abike-Fadipe of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos. The defendants, who were first arraigned on October 12, 2021 following their arrest in May, 2021, are being prosecuted on an amended five-count charge bordering on impersonation, attempt to obtain property, possession of documents containing false pretence and unlawfully wearing the uniform of the EFCC.

After beating them, the ring leader was forced to eat food full of hot chili 🌶️. March 10, 2023- Four suspects were beaten by a mob in Lusaka's Kamwala area after they entered a house and tied the owner and her maid. The suspects gained entry through the gate after deceiving the maid that they had been sent to refill gas in the gas stove by the owner of the house.  The maid then called the owner of the house, a female aged 27, who then engaged the suspects at the gate. As they were talking, one of the suspects grabbed her by the neck and took possession of the key and opened the gate then entered the premises. ICPC Arraigns Ibadan Polytechnic Staff Over Forgery The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arraigned a staff of The Polytechnic of Ibadan, Mr. Mosudi Osuolale Ashim, over alleged forgery and making false statements. Mr. Ashim was arraigned before the Hon. Justice Olalekan Owolabi of the Oyo State High Court 12, in Ibadan. The Commission had filed a 3-count charge alleging that the accused presented a Curriculum Vitae captioned “The Polytechnic, Ibadan – Academic Staff Curriculum vitae for 2018 Annual Assessment” to the Management/Faculty of Engineering of Ibadan Polytechnic during the Faculty Promotion exercises in 2015, 2016 and 2018. The charge alleged that he claimed to be a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) with Registration Number: R13988, knowing it to be false and with the intent to mislead the Polytechnic during the promotion exercise.
