 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

11 DEAD AS ISLAMIST GUNMEN,ATTACKED A WESTERN MALI TOWN TODAY.

               I just got the report that suspected Islamist fighters attacked a town in western Mali near the border with neighboring Mauritania around 1am EDT to today saturday,leaving up to 11 people dead,including three soldiers and eight attackers.A senior army officer said military intelligence and initial witness accounts indicated that the attackers were Islamist fighters mainly from the Peuhl ethnic group.The raid took place a week after a Tuaregleg northern rebel alliance signed a peace deal with the government aimed at ending their uprising and allowing the authorities to forcus on fighting Islamists militants.

                              According to sources,the Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Port Harcourt Professor Rosamund Greed Osahagulu,who was abducted last week thursday by unknown gunmen on her way home in Pot Harcourt after the closure of work has now regained her freedom.The circumstances surrounding her release remains sketchy,but Ahmad Muhammad,the Rivers Command of Pulic Relations Officer confirmed her freedom this morning,stating that she is hale and hearty and united with her family.Professor Rosamund Green Osahagulu was appointed Vice Chancellor by the immediate past administration of former Governor Chibuike Amaechi after upgrading the institution from College of Education to University of Education.I thank God for her.

A FAKE POLICEMAN MATHEW OCHOCHE,WAS ARRESTED IN WARRI DELTA STATE.

                    This annoucement was contained in a statement by DSP Celestina Kalu in Asaba today saturday that ''Police patrol team attached to Quick Response Squad,Warri intercepted a Ford Transit van with Reg.No {Lagos}EPE 790 XH,on June 25.The vehicle was loaded with fairy used Mikanosp 20 generator and Denyo Daw-18083.OKVA welding machine.The vehicle was being escorted by one Ochoche Mathew 'm' who was fully dressed in police uniform with F/NO.255038 and Cpl rank.However,preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect,who previously served with 20 PMF Lagos,have since been demolished.Our investigation revealed that Ochoche was demobilized from the force on July 18,2011.Mathew is no longer in the police service''.The statement added that the suspect was arrested for impersonation and is undergoing investigation and that the vehicle and the exhibits he was escorting had been impounded.One more photo below.     ...

A FULL LOADED CONTAINER,FELL AND KILLED ALL THE PASSENGERS IN A BUS TODAY IN OGUN STATE.

                                  According to eyewitnesses,a container fell and crushed a fully loaded commuter bus,killing all the passengers of the bus today friday afternoon in Ogunstate.The incident occurred on Sagamu/Benin expressway at Llishay,very close to Sagamu junction.The occupants of the bus were mainly students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University,OOU Ago Iwoye,who were said to be on their way to Lagos.Eyewitness said the truck driver drove against traffic and the bus driver collided with the truck and killed all the occupants including the bus driver.The remains of the deceased have been taken to the mortuary at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital,OOUTH,Sagamu.
