A CHESTER, ILLINOIS MAN WAS RECENTLY ARRESTED AND CHARGED FOR CRIMES AGAINST AT LEAST ONE MINOR. WHEN HIS MUGSHOT WAS SHARED, WITH THE CHARGES INCLUDED, SEVERAL OTHER YOUNG LADIES CAME FORWARD AND TOLD THEIR STORIES. (PHOTO).

 A Chester, Illinois man was recently arrested and charged for crimes against  at least one minor. When his mugshot was shared, with the charges included, several other young ladies came forward and told their stories.  Joshua Addison, 37-years-old, was arrested and charged on September 25th for incidents that happened approximately May, 13th of this year. He is currently in the Randolph County Jail.  When the news broke, several (at least 6) females shared screenshots and stories alleging Addison had sent them inappropriate messages. One individual shared a screenshot exhibiting that she confronted Addison and reminded him they were cousins. In that same exchange, the young lady asked if Addison knew her age. The screenshot shows Addison stating that he hopes his "not blood" cousin was at least 18-years-old.  Two prior alleged targets of Addison have reached out to us.  OGUN GOVERNMENT INTENSIFIES ROAD CONSTRUCTION WORKS ALONG AKUTE–AGBADO AXIS The Ogun State Government, under the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun, CON, continues to record steady progress on ongoing road infrastructure works along the Akute–Agbado axis, with construction activities advancing simultaneously at different sections of the corridor. Asphalt laying of the wearing course is currently progressing towards the Abule Ekun Bridge at Chainage 4+800, coming from the Akute axis. At Chainage 5+800, construction of a 1.5m × 1.5m culvert is also ongoing to provide adequate drainage and ensure the durability of the road infrastructure. Further along the corridor at Agbado, around Chainage 7+500, unsuitable materials are being excavated and removed, with good laterite material being used as replacement to strengthen the road foundation ahead of subsequent stages of construction.  A Los Angeles teen chose to leap from the fourth floor of his school when he saw no end to the bullying. On Wednesday, September 30th, 17-year-old Xavier Nungarary ran from a classroom at Highland Park High School, where he had just endured multiple punches from a bully. That terrible interaction was captured by cell phone video.  After fleeing the classroom, Xavier ran to a nearby 4th floor balcony and landed on the concrete below. Xavier did not survive the fall. Several students were present and watched the horrible scene play out. Xavier was attending his senior year, and it is absolutely heartbreaking that he saw no future when it was so close at hand.  NIGERIA SECURES ADDITIONAL 10,000 HAJJ SLOTS FOR 2027 Nigeria has secured an additional 10,000 slots for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage, increasing the country’s allocation from 50,000 to 60,000. A statement by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, says the additional slots were approved by Saudi Arabia following sustained engagement between the two countries. Of the new allocation, 7,500 slots will go to State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards, agencies and commissions, while 2,500 will be allocated to seven lead tour operators. NAHCON Chairman, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, thanked the Federal Government and Saudi authorities for their continued cooperation in supporting Nigerian pilgrims. The Commission says the additional slots will be administered transparently and in line with Nigerian and Saudi regulations. The Commission also reaffirm its commitment to accessible Hajj, quality service delivery and the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims.

 DSS, MILITARY FOIL ANOTHER MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT IN KATSINA Security forces have foiled another mass abduction attempt by armed bandits in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State, rescuing 18 victims. The victims—14 females and four males, including children and toddlers—were reportedly abandoned by the bandits after security operatives blocked their escape route. Traditional rulers in Bakori, in a statement, commended the military, DSS and local vigilantes for acting on intelligence to disrupt the planned attack. The statement adds that at least seven fleeing bandits were reportedly injured, while a 14-year-old rescued victim sustained a gunshot wound and is receiving treatment. It further notes that the operation comes less than two weeks after security forces foiled another mass abduction attempt in Gidan Iyado, also in Bakori, where 18 bandits were reportedly killed.

  Rapper Rick Ross was arrested early Thursday, October 1, 2026 in Miami Beach on domestic violence-related charges. He was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center at 6:10 a.m. on one felony count of battery by strangulation and one misdemeanor count of battery, both classified as domestic violence. Bond was set at $5,000 to $6,000 total, and he pleaded not guilty during a Zoom bond hearing.  The charges stem from allegations by ex-girlfriend Jazzma Kendrick about an incident on August 28 at Ross's Star Island home. Kendrick told police she was awakened over an Instagram photo, and alleged Ross slapped her, struck her chest, grabbed her ponytail, slammed her against a wall and choked her to the point she could not breathe. She posted photos of a busted lip on Instagram Stories on September 26 and filed a police report on September 29.
