 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots. ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT VS PURE WATER PRODUCERS.

          Today Wednesday,the Anambra state House of Assembly has said it will call for the closure of sachet and table water companies in the state.The chairman of the House committee on Health,Dr.Emeka Aniebonam,said this in Awka today wednesday after an inspection of some sachet {pure}water processing plants in the state by his committee.He also said the discovery made by the committe was alarming when members of the committee visited operated under an unhygienic conditions,alleging the plants were producing unhygienic water for the public.The House committee said it would do a proper report and recommendation to the government after it would have completed a comprehensive inspection of the water plants in the state.To be honest,we should have it at the back of your mind,health is wealth not the other way round where sale is wealth.If you sell bad water to the public,remember you also have family members who may mistakenly drink the dirty water because of your greed so be wise and do the right thing.
