 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.      Good news as Nigeria's Tijjani Muhammad-Bande, the current UN Permanent Representative, emerges the 74th president of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Bande emerged victorious at a session held on Tuesday, June 4, at the General Assembly Hall in New York. He will succeed Ecuador’s Maria Fernanda Espinosa.More photos below.
