 Fundraiser for Lindsay Clancy holdout juror flooded with donations after Michael P. Desronvil speaks out for first time A fundraiser for the lone holdout juror in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial has been flooded with donations after he spoke out publicly for the first time to defend himself for holding his ground. Michael P. Desronvil, 48, explained Thursday that “based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she (Clancy) knew exactly what she was doing” when she fatally strangled her three young children with exercise bands. The high-profile trial ended in a mistrial after Desronvil refused to side with the 11 other jurors to find Clancy not guilty of murder by reason of insanity.      Vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has paid a condolence visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti whose daughter, Funke Olakunrin was killed. The daughter of the leader of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, was killed while travelling on Friday, July 12.The vice president on Sunday, July 14 paid a condolence visit to the Afenifere leader at his house in Ondo state. Osinbajo also extended his condolence to Idowu Olakunrin, the widower.He prayed that God would comfort the families of the deceased. The vice president also said the federal government would deploy soldiers to highways to increase security and protect travellers.Earlier media report stats that Funke was shot on Friday, July 12. Sources said she was coming from Lagos when her vehicle was attacked by kidnappers in Ore in Ondo state. A source confirmed the tragic incident. He said the kidnappers also engage in armed robbery. The police said three vehicles were attacked by the kidnappers and that one of the passengers, Gerald Igboroka was yet to be found by the police.More photos below.
